One simple rhythm for lasting learning
Read it once. Rebuild it 1–3–7.
Day 0 prepares the material: listen, read and write it in your own notebook. The rebuilding cycle begins on Days 1, 3 and 7.
PrepareDay 0
Listen. Read. Write by hand.
Prepare your personal notesDay 0 introduces the material. It is preparation—not part of the 1–3–7 rebuilding cycle.
Listen to it, read it carefully, then copy it into your personal notebook in your own handwriting.

Recall itDay 1
Remember before you look.
Strengthen retrievalTrying to remember strengthens a new memory more than simply reading it again.
Recall it without looking. Then check the source, correct yourself and say the complete idea three times.
Rebuild itDay 3
Change one small detail.
Make the pathway flexibleUsing the same pattern in a new context helps the brain retrieve it beyond one memorised example.
Recover the idea from a short cue. Change the person, place, time or object and make two new examples.
Use itDay 7
Use it without support.
Let it become naturalA spaced return helps the brain retrieve the pattern faster and with less effort.
Use it in a short conversation or voice note without reading. The goal is for the idea to begin feeling familiar and natural.
